Function Overview

The GIC Supply Chain team manages end-to-end operations, encompassing planning, sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, and analytics. They strategically plan to meet market demands, optimize sourcing, ensure efficient production, and oversee the seamless movement of goods from production to delivery. The team employs advanced analytics throughout these processes, fostering adaptability and operational excellence. This collaborative approach ensures a well-coordinated supply chain that aligns with both organizational goals and dynamic market conditions.

Purpose of the role

This role includes managing efficient information flow and Supply Chain execution that supports product lifecycle process. This role requires an individual to set up the raw materials, finished goods and the Bill of Materials in SAP ERP which will provide visibility to Supply and Demand. An Individual should be effective in communication to connect different stakeholders along with several business teams/ groups in the US.

Key Accountabilities

Operational Excellence (80% of Time)

  • Work on single/ multi-layer BOM creation and maintenance for multiple complex manufacturing platforms/ business.
  • Should have knowledge of minimum 3 different GMI Divisions related to PLPM process.
  • Update product characteristics/ attributes in SAP for raw materials (Unit of measure, price etc.).
  • Execute Material set up process at required locations.
  • Conceptual understanding of product lifecycle process and proficiency in product specifications to create Bills of Materials.
  • Manage exceptions to the process.
  • Help ensure master data integrity in key systems as well as maintaining the processes to support the data quality, accuracy and reporting.
  • Assist in the review of current planning processes and reports, recommend improvements, and coordinate with global team members to implement changes.
  • Lead and execute large scale Projects. E.g. Next Gen PLM, WIP to SEMI conversion, BOM standardization etc.
  • Lead and execute Merger and Acquisition for PLPM related activities by playing a role of a Subject Matter Expertise.
  • Lead, Execute and monitor E2E product lifecycle from create and setup perspective.
  • Work independently / directly with U.S. supply chain partners to ensure accurate management of material master and BOM data and provide valuable insights to business team to mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate across supply chain teams to identify and implement information and product flow improvements.
  • Play a role of a Subject matter expertise for the team and resolve PLPM process related issues independently and support other team members.
  • Achieve high customer service levels & meeting functional KPIs.
  • Maintain required parameters for Raw and Finished material in SAP.
  • Resolve queries independently related to material and BOM setup and assist other team members.
  • Adhere to the SOP and processes set while doing the master data setup related to material and BOM setup activities.
  • Identify process gaps, communicate to required business partners, and acquire information needed to eliminate gaps in material and BOM setup performance.
  • Lead the Quality framework rolled out for PLPM process and be an audit champion.
  • Support ad-hoc projects pertaining to material and BOM setup activities.
  • Daily/weekly/Monthly maintenance of internal trackers to capture volume, accuracy, and timeliness for PLPM activities with data analysis for reporting.
  • Gain expertise and leverage knowledge on General Mills planning systems and internal process tools (SAP ERP, gPLM (Global Product Lifecycle Management), GTM (Go to Market) tools and SharePoint workflows etc.).
  • Ensure daily/weekly/monthly activities to review the key performance metrics and root cause analysis of issues observed.
  • Provide regular communication updates on key performance metrics to the business stakeholders.
  • Actively participate and provide inputs in Brand execution meetings to avoid business risks.
  • Work on gPLM and GTM project reconciliation.
  • Work collaboratively with US supply chain partners to gather the needed information to support the governance of planning processes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education – Full Time graduation from an accredited university (Mandatory- Note: This is the minimum education criteria which cannot be altered)
  • Minimum Degree Requirements – Masters
  • Minimum years of related experience required – 5+ years
