Job Description

The role of a Production & Quality Coordinator is pivotal in manufacturing and production industries, where maintaining high standards of output is essential. This position involves overseeing the production processes to ensure that products meet the required quality standards and are produced efficiently. The coordinator works closely with different departments including production, quality assurance, and supply chain, to streamline operations and enhance the overall quality of products. A meticulous eye for detail, strong leadership skills, and a comprehensive understanding of production methods and quality control processes are critical for success in this role. The Production & Quality Coordinator plays a vital role in identifying areas for improvement, implementing quality control measures, and ensuring that production targets are met without compromising on quality.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the production floor to ensure efficiency.
  • Ensure all products meet the quality standards before they are shipped out.
  • Develop and implement inspection and testing processes to maintain quality.
  • Collaborate with production teams to improve workflow efficiency and productivity.
  • Monitor production schedules and adjust processes to meet delivery deadlines.
  • Analyze production data to identify areas for process and quality improvements.
  • Train and mentor production staff on quality standards and procedures.
  • Establish and maintain documentation for production and quality processes.
  • Conduct root cause analysis when quality issues or production disruptions arise.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry quality standards.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to resolve product quality issues and delays.
  • Prepare and present production and quality reports to management regularly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a production or quality assurance role in manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of production processes and quality control methods.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to multitask and manage several projects simultaneously in fast-paced environments.
  • Proficient with production management software and quality assessment tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and metrics.
