Responsibilities

• Collect blood samples from patients using appropriate venipuncture techniques and tools.
• Ensure all specimens are accurately labeled and properly stored for analysis.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized workspace to ensure patient safety.
• Verify patient information and update records for data accuracy and liability.
• Employ effective communication skills to help patients feel comfortable and at ease.
• Assist with transporting specimens to the laboratory following safety protocols.
• Monitor supplies inventory and ensure the availability of materials for procedures.
• Respect patient confidentiality and comply with healthcare data protection policies.
• Collaborate with other healthcare team members for optimal patient care.
• Educate patients about the phlebotomy process and answer any queries they may have.
• Participate in training sessions to keep abreast of the latest phlebotomy techniques.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certification is highly valued.
• Previous experience as a Phlebotomist or in a similar role is preferred.

• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle medical tools efficiently.
