An IATA PGS (Passenger Ground Services) Trainer plays a pivotal role in the aviation industry by equipping trainees with the knowledge and skills necessary to efficiently manage passenger handling and ground operations at airports. The trainer ensures that staff are competent in delivering top-notch customer service while adhering to international standards and regulations set by IATA. Responsibilities

  • Maintain detailed records of trainee attendance and assessment results.
  • Collaborate with airport management to identify training needs and objectives.
  • Utilize practical scenarios and role-playing to enhance learning experiences.
  • Support trainees through mentorship and address any concerns effectively.
  • Facilitate a safe and conducive learning environment for all participants.
  • Regularly report training outcomes and improvements to management and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in aviation, education, or a related field is preferred.
  • Extensive experience in airport operations and passenger ground services.
  • Certification as an IATA PGS trainer or equivalent qualification is essential.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively convey information.
  • Ability to engage and motivate diverse groups of trainees efficiently.
  • Proven ability to develop and modify training materials and curriculums.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to address trainee challenges.
