Roles & Responsibilities:

Daily Operations & Monitoring-

• Perform daily health checks of Mail & File Archival Infrastructure, including SMTP journaling, replication, and index backlog monitoring.
• Monitor archival tasks such as pending archival, mailbox queues, storage queues, and task statuses.
• Execute daily routine tasks including archival task runs, zero archiving, PST imports, and assigning archive access.
  
  

• Add LUNs for indexing/archival/vault store as required.
• Maintain and back up Vault stores.
• Address compliance tasks such as DA search issue resolution, access provisioning, and export requests.
• Troubleshoot placeholder disconnects, indexing issues, and retrieval problems from Outlook.
• Monitor disk capacity utilization and overall application health across all EV servers.
  
  

• Install and configure Mail & File Archival servers within the existing EV infrastructure.
• Submit technical Plans of Action (POA) for assigned change tasks.
• Perform Enterprise Vault version upgrades annually or as required.
• Apply service packs and patches to EV servers when needed.
  
  

• Conduct EV DR drills (Mail & File archival) from the DR site.
• Support compliance-related requests such as DA search case exports and policy changes.
  
  

• Provide EV support during SQL, OneFS, and VMware ESXi upgrades.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure adequate capacity planning and architecture readiness for new technologies.
  
  

• Strong hands-on experience with Veritas Enterprise Vault (Mail, File, and SMTP journaling).
• In-depth knowledge of EV architecture, indexing, archival processes, and compliance search functions.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting archival issues, indexing errors, and retrieval failures.
• Experience in storage integration (Isilon, NetApp) and adding LUNs for archival storage.
• Familiarity with DR drills and disaster recovery best practices.
• Experience in applying patches, service packs, and version upgrades in EV environments.
• Good understanding of Microsoft Exchange/Outlook integration with EV.
