ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

  • Applicants should not have been enrolled in any prior Government Apprenticeship programs.
  • Applicants must have their Aadhaar number linked to their active mobile number and have a personal email ID. This is a mandatory requirement for registration and verification.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • This is a hybrid role, which requires regular in-person work at a Google Operations Center office. Relocation is not supported during the apprenticeship. We are looking for candidates who are committed to successfully completing the entire program in a hybrid capacity.

The Google Operations Center Project Management - Operations Apprenticeship is a learning and development program for 12 months, Apprentices are expected to join in person at their assigned office and participate full-time (~40 hours, weekly) throughout the program. The program includes work experience with a GOC team supported by external training to empower those looking to start a career in Project Management. You will spend 20% of your time studying in a tailored training program and the rest of the time on projects with assigned GOC teams to gain hands-on experience.

Selected applicants will be matched to a team within GOC.

Apprenticeships are not a full-time permanent opportunity, the program is 12 months in duration. While the program is open to those who are interested in Project Management careers, recent graduates and individuals with work experience in other industries may apply.

This role is not eligible for immigration sponsorship and is only open to Indian citizens.

Application Instructions:

Applicants must include both a resume and a cover letter with their application, clearly calling out their year of graduation. Cover letters should be concise (maximum of 1 page or 300 words ) describing why they would like to join the program, why they are a good fit and how they feel it will help them develop in their careers, highlighting their achievements and aspirations.

The whole process will spread across 6 to 8 weeks, kindly be patient during the same.

Position Responsibilities

  • Develop general project management skills across a variety of disciplines and skills needed for communication, change, and risk management.
  • Learn a wide range of tools and techniques, including how to distill data for actionable takeaways and how to make data backed recommendations.
  • Learn how to coordinate internal resources for execution of projects and share documentation/reports with project teams, and how to provide information and regular support to stakeholders.
  • Develop teamwork and communication skills, build working relationships with peers, leaders, and colleagues.
  • Develop an understanding of project scope (e.g., timeframes, financials, outcomes, etc.), how to ensure thorough project documentation, identify and manage project risks and create/review reports.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in any field
  • Maximum of 1 year of relevant experience in a Project Management role post completing graduation.
  • Experience with using Google Workspace (e.g., Gmail, Chrome, Docs, Sheets, etc.) or similar applications.
  • Ability to communicate in English fluently

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently and within a team framework.
  • Ability to work with ambiguous tasks and suitable solutions, and seek help/advice where appropriate.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Previous work experience in any industry would be an advantage e.g Events, Media,Customer Service, Hospitality, Tourism, Accounting etc.
