Senior Design Engineer-HVAC

Responsibilities

Design Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to ensure energy efficiency, sustainability, and compliance with industry standards. Their primary roles and responsibilities include:

• Design of HVAC systems for Commercial, Industrial, Infrastructure buildings.
• Select appropriate HVAC equipment, including chillers, air handling units, pumps, and ductwork etc..
• Develop ductwork and piping layouts using software like AutoCAD, Revit, or BIM.
• Knowledge on VRF system, Chillied water system, Variable pumping system, Car park ventilation system etc.
• Ensure compliance with ASHRAE, ISHRAE, NBC, SMACNA, NFPA, and other industry standards.
• Conduct heat load, cooling load, and ventilation and pressurisation calculations.
• Perform psychometric analysis to optimize air conditioning processes.
• Select and size HVAC equipment based on the calculations and project requirements.
• Design and sizing of ducting and piping
• Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers for technical support.
• Develop HVAC design drawings, specifications, Design basis report and B.o.Q.
• Collaborate with Architects, Structural engineers, and other MEP service teams
• Utilize software like AutoCAD, Revit MEP, HAP, Trace 700 for design and simulation.
