Job Description

A Medical Representative plays a crucial role in the healthcare industry by acting as a bridge between pharmaceutical companies and healthcare professionals. Tasked with promoting and selling medical products, a Medical Representative ensures that the needs of both the healthcare providers and patients are met effectively. They are responsible for building strong relationships with doctors, pharmacists, and hospitals. As a Medical Representative, you will be involved in all aspects of sales, marketing, and customer service. Working with a set of predefined targets, you must be able to manage your time efficiently, stay informed about the latest product knowledge, and adhere to the ethical standards prescribed by the regulatory authorities.


Responsibilities

  • Visit healthcare facilities to present and promote pharmaceutical products.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals.
  • Identify the needs of healthcare providers and recommend suitable products.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to medical staff.
  • Participate in medical conferences and exhibitions to enhance product knowledge.
  • Analyze sales statistics to identify areas of improvement in sales strategies.
  • Monitor and follow up on targeted healthcare professionals to achieve sales goals.
  • Prepare and submit sales reports to the management on a timely basis.
  • Stay informed about competitors' products, sales, and marketing strategies.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve better sales results and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company's sales policies.
  • Provide feedback on product performance and customer satisfaction to the company.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in sales or medical representative roles in the healthcare sector.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare industry practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.
  • Results-driven with a customer-oriented approach to sales and service.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Proficiency in using computer software applications and managing CRM tools.
