Automation Tester (225-717)

As an Automation Tester, your primary role will be to design, create, and execute automated test scripts to ensure the quality and performance of our applications. You'll play a critical part in our development process by providing vital feedback on our systems and identifying any issues before they affect end users. You will collaborate closely with developers, project managers, and fellow testers to understand requirements, adapt testing strategies, and ensure adherence to both functional and non-functional requirements. Your analytical skills, coupled with keen attention to detail, will help automate repetitive tasks, thus improving efficiency and allowing our team to focus on innovation and strategic improvements.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop test automation frameworks and automated test scripts for software applications.
• Collaborate with software developers and QA analysts to identify testing requirements and expected outcomes.
• Execute automated test scripts and review results to ensure software quality and performance.
• Maintain and improve existing automation scripts to enhance testing efficiency and scope.
• Document defects and coordinate with development teams to verify bug fixes and issue resolutions.
• Participate in the continuous integration process to ensure seamless releases of new software versions.
• Analyze test results to discover and report issues, bugs, and errors for resolutions.
• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Ensure that all automated tests are executed regularly and deliver reports to stakeholders.
• Stay updated with the latest tools, technologies, and trends in software testing.
• Provide training and guidance to junior testers and other team members on automation tools.
• Ensure automation best practices are met, optimizing test scripts and frameworks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Automation Tester, with hands-on experience in test automation tools.
• Proficiency in at least one major programming language, such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks and tools like Selenium, TestNG, or JUnit.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and testing methodologies.
• Excellent analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail for test script development.
• Experience with continuous integration tools, such as Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD.
