SRE Engineer

Job Description

Bachelor s degree, preferably in Computer Science, or relevant work experience.

3+ years of experience as an SRE.

Wants to automate everything.

Familiarity in ITIL or other Information Technology operations foundations.

Interest and ability in mentoring staff - improving technical capabilities.

Knowledge of Mainframes.

Extensive engineering familiarity of various technical domains with experience in the following areas

Scripting and automation (Java, Python, shell, etc.)

Creating content (dashboard, reports, etc.) using Grafana, ElasticStack, Prometheus.

Experience utilizing alerting tools such as Moogsoft, CloudProbe, and Geneos.

Monitoring & Instrumentation Tools (AppDynamics, New Relic, Splunk, ThousandEyes, or other APM tools).

Pipeline Technologies (CI/CD, Jenkins, Gitlab, etc.).

Code Repository Management (GitLab, Git, GitHub)

Messaging (IBM MQ, ActiveMQ, etc.).

yaContainerization technology.

Infrastructure as code tools (Chef, Puppet, Ansible).

• Have to be involved in complete SDLC of the project using Agile Methodology.
• Involved in development activities as well as the Prod Support which includes bug fixes, user support.
• Interest and ability in mentoring staff - improving technical capabilities.
