Senior Software Engineer Google Home

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Masters degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 5 years of experience with data structures/algorithms.
• Experience working on Linux, APIs and Services.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, scala and C++.
• Ability to define software architecture, components, modules, interfaces, and data for a system to meet requirements, validating for correctness, functionality and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
• Develop scalable, reliable, and high-performance solutions that cater to the growing needs of the customers.
• Manage all technical aspects of development, unit testing, integration and deployments.
• Collaborate with peers and work with teammates to identify opportunities to make the Product/Features scalable.
