Position Overview

Omnicom Global Solutions (OGS) is seeking a Senior PHP Developer with a strong background in modern PHP frameworks and API development. This role is ideal for someone with 5+ years of hands-on experience in building scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications using Symfony, Twig, and API Platform. The candidate should be well-versed in PHP versions 7.1, 7.4, and 8+, and have a solid understanding of software architecture, security best practices, and performance optimization.

As a senior member of the development team, you will lead backend development efforts, mentor junior developers, and collaborate closely with DevOps, QA, and product teams to deliver enterprise-grade solutions.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain complex web applications using Symfony.
• Design and implement reusable components and templates using Twig.
• Build and manage RESTful APIs using API Platform integrated with Symfony.
• Ensure compatibility and performance across PHP versions 7.1, 7.4, and 8+.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and implement security patches and fixes.
• Optimize application performance through profiling, caching, and refactoring.
• Collaborate with front-end developers and DevOps to ensure seamless integration and deployment.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and technical design discussions.
• Maintain high standards of code quality, documentation, and testing.
• Stay current with PHP ecosystem trends and advocate for best practices.
  
  

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in PHP development.
• Strong expertise in Symfony (4.x and above), and Twig.
• Deep understanding of PHP 7.1, 7.4, and 8+ features and migration strategies.
• Proven experience with API Platform and RESTful API development.
• Solid grasp of secure coding practices and vulnerability mitigation (OWASP).
• Experience with Git, Composer, and CI/CD tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and mentoring abilities.
  
  

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerization tools.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
• Exposure to Agile methodologies and DevOps workflows.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks and TDD.
• Knowledge of performance monitoring and logging tools.
• Knowledge of Silex.
