Optum AI is UnitedHealth Groups enterprise AI team. We are AI/ML scientists and engineers with deep expertise in AI/ML engineering for health care. We develop AI/ML solutions for the highest impact opportunities across Optum, part of the UnitedHealth Group family of businesses including UnitedHealthcare, Optum Financial, Optum Health, Optum Insight, and Optum Rx. In addition to transforming the health care journey through responsible AI/ML innovation, our charter also includes developing and supporting an enterprise AI/ML development platform.

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
• 12+ years of experience in building SOA style applications in the cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• 6+ years of hands-on experience working on large scale Java projects with specific focus on micro services, Spring Boot, or spark scala projects
• 3+ years of experience in working cloud environments - Azure, AWS, GCP
• 2+ years of hands-on experience as a principal-level software engineer
• Experience working in a complex, service-oriented service development
• Experience in working with engineering leaders
• Knowledge of technology stack like Java (Spring Boot), REST APIs, Python
• Good knowledge of cloud related infra, security and networking aspects
• Proven track record of leading application or platform security framework for large-scale, multi-cloud platforms
• Proven track record of leading the delivery of large-scale, high-quality systems
• Proven exceptional communication skills
• Proven excellent problem-solving skills
• Proven to be highly organized individual
  
  

• Experience using Terraform or other CI/CD IaaC
