The Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Landing Page teams define and build features that optimize the way customers browse our inventory and help them easily find and reach relevant eBay pages when searching on search engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc. With literally hundreds of millions of products listed on eBay globally at any time, the scale at which eBay has to consider search engine optimization puts our team in a unique position to innovate and provide immediate value to the business. This team builds high-quality, scalable and highly-available business solutions that are used by millions of eBay users across the globe every day. We are responsible for driving organic free traffic that represents billions of dollars worth of goods and services bought on eBay.

What Will You Do?

We are seeking a Manager for the Landing Page Data Operations team, which supports Product and Development to maintain data quality and landing page lifecycle management. The Landing Page Data Operations team works closely with Product Management, Product Development, Data Science, and other cross-domain organizations.

This role will manage a team of data operations program managers, analysts and several vendors who provide human judgement, content moderation, content generation, data analysis, and other landing page operational tasks. The team is on a journey to increase manual efficiency (and quality) as well as automation of basic tasks. This requires an experienced leader who is able to help this team navigate that change and elevate the nature of the team’s work.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and mentor a team of data operations program managers and analysts
  • Drive quality through human judgement, content moderation, content operations, data analysis
  • Increase efficiency of operational tasks through automation (working closely with Product Management)
  • Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation, automation and continuous improvement.
  • Establish KPIs and metrics to monitor the quality, performance, and efficiency of the team’s work
  • Provide regular reports and insights to stakeholders, driving data-informed decision-making.


Minimum Qualifications

  • BA or BS required
  • 5+ years experience managing a data operations team, ideally in eCommerce
  • Experience in the domains of human judgement, content operations, and data analysis
  • Experience managing vendors, and negotiating associated budgets
  • Excellent communication & people skills
  • Data driven and results oriented
