About The Team
Enterprise Item Engineering team is responsible for building the platform and services that enables lowes suppliers and lowes merchandizing partners to onboard and manage their products to be listed on lowes.com, stores and multiple other selling channels. This team delivers best in class customer experience to our suppliers and internal customers by implementing high performant, reliable and intuitive systems to manage entire product lifecycle, insights and analytics to suppliers and merchandizing partners.
Job Summary
The primary purpose of this role is to provide consultation and technical direction on translating business requirements and functional specifications into logical program designs. This includes facilitating the implementation and maintenance of complex business and enterprise software solutions to ensure successful deployment of released applications. This role serves as a technical expert for project teams throughout the implementation and maintenance of business and enterprise software solutions. In addition, this role personally develops and delivers code modules, stable application systems, and integrated enterprise software solutions within various computing environments

Working closely with product team in building product roadmap, translating the roadmap to design decisions, estimate and getting it developed.
Collaborate with architects or engineering leaders to ensure functional specifications are converted into flexible, scalable, and maintainable solution designs
Develop, configure, or modify microservices and event driven architectural solutions using appropriate technology stack
Build and execute automated test scenarios
Deploy the solution by building and maintaining continuous deployment pipelines
Participate and coach junior team members
Learn and continuously upgrade skills
R&D on new tech and capabilities
Must work well in a dynamic team environment; Excellent team and collaboration skills
Strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and empathy

8+ years in software / IT development
Education Qualification & Certifications
Required Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field (or equivalent work experience in a related field)
8 years of experience in software development or a related field
6 years of experience in database technologies
6 years of experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of solutions applying development life cycles (SDLC)
Skill Set Required
Primary Skills (must have)
More than 8+ years experience in Java.
Well versed in latest java features like Reactive java and j2ee/rest technologies.
Extensive experience in Spring and Spring Boot.
Microservice design patterns and cloud deployment.
Create solutions using Messaging technologies like Kafka and MQ.
Experience in designing and using Caches, Relational and NO-SQL databases.
Flexible & Skilled to understand JavaScript libraries like NodeJS, ReactJS.
Worked on Maven, Gradle, GIT and Jenkins.
Should have at least 3 years’ experience in coding and architecting applications using micro service architecture and patterns.
Ability to provide architecture solution, low level design, user story creation and assist the developers in any tech or domain difficulties.
Able to decompose and transition a monolith to microservices & design NO-SQL databases.
Excellent java coding skills with knowledge on data structures and latest features of java.
Experienced and comfortable in using Docker and Kubernetes
Experience working in cloud solutions like GCP, Azure, AWS, etc. as well as on-premises applications.
Should be hands-on and able to develop code and Proof of Concepts.
Drive the adoption of new technologies by researching technical trends and developments.
Experience in designing and providing technical direction to the team via sessions and design artifacts.
Worked in Agile Development and aware of CI-CD best practices.
Able to design taking into account scalability, availability and performance for applications with heavy traffic.
Able to provide best practices for development, unit testing and acceptance testing.
Should be able to collaborate and work with the global teams.
Secondary Skills (desired)
E-commerce/Retail domain experience
Java, Architect and Cloud certifications.
Kotlin
Experience working in Couchbase, Workflow engine, GraphQL and Micronaut.
