As a Guidewire developer at PwC, you will specialise in developing and customising applications using the Guidewire platform. Guidewire is a software suite that provides insurance companies with tools for policy administration, claims management, and billing. You will be responsible for designing, coding, and testing software solutions that meet the specific needs of insurance organisations.

The Opportunity

When you join PwC Acceleration Centers (ACs), you step into a pivotal role focused on actively supporting various Acceleration Center services, from Advisory to Assurance, Tax and Business Services. In our innovative hubs, you’ll engage in challenging projects and provide distinctive services to support client engagements through enhanced quality and innovation. You’ll also participate in dynamic and digitally enabled training that is designed to grow your technical and professional skills.

As part of the Guidewire Configuration Developer team you configure and customize software solutions to meet client needs. As a Senior Associate you analyze complex problems, mentor others, and uphold elevated standards. You focus on building client relationships and developing a deeper understanding of the business context, while navigating increasingly complex situations to grow your personal brand and technical proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Insurance domain knowledge with Property & Casualty background
  • Hands-on experience in PolicyCenter Version 8.x / above (Experience in GW Cloud is an added advantage)
  • Well versed in one of streams - Forms
  • Strong knowledge in Guidewire platform (Gosu scripting / UI / Data Model)
  • Strong knowledge in Guidewire Policy Form patterns and Generic / Custom Form inference logic
  • Strong knowledge in GX Models / Custom Models
  • Experience in Enhancements, Payload generation and Guidewire Smartcom Integration
  • Good knowledge in Webservices, XML and ant script
  • Experience on any database Oracle / SQL Server and well versed in SQL
  • Exposure to SCM tool such as GIT, SVN are added advantage
  • Knowledge on any application server such as Tomcat / JBoss is an added advantage.
  • Experience in Agile SCRUM or SAFe methodology
  • Additional skills for Senior Associate
    • Sound knowledge in software architecture and design patterns
    • Must have estimation, team leading, code review and mentoring skills
    • Worked on at least two Guidewire implementations
What You Must Have

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 4 years of experience
  • Java
  • Oral and written proficiency in English required
