About The Program

The Industry Immersion Fellowship at Volvo Group is a unique program that enables university faculty and post-doctoral researchers to gain hands-on industry experience by working full-time with our technical team at Volvogroup.

Problem

About the Role:

• Significant heat is rejected during metal solidification.
• This waste heat goes in to environment, unused.
  
  

Outcome

• Recover waste heat and convert it into usable energy.
• Improve energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
  
  

Idea

• Implement heat recovery technologies
• Reuse recovered energy within foundry operations.
  
  

Eligibility Criteria

Ph.D Pursuing / Ph.D Completed Research Scholars.
