About the Role:

We are looking for an Engineering Manager with deep technical experience and a strong understanding of healthcare or life sciences domains like oncology (preferred), diagnostics, or precision medicine. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong leader who has grown from a hands-on development background and is passionate about building robust, cloud-native solutions in a fast-paced and mission-driven environment. This role will lead and scale engineering teams delivering highly impactful, compliant, and scalable systems that power our clinical workflows, diagnostic products, and AI platforms.



Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership & Strategy:

  • Architect and drive the development of scalable, cloud-native applications that support healthcare workflows (oncology, diagnostics, etc.) while ensuring compliance, security, and safe handling of sensitive clinical data.
  • Champion best practices in CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and DevOps.


Team Management & Culture:

  • Lead an engineering squad hyper-focused on advancing clinical and diagnostic solutions that measurably improve health outcomes across diverse care settings.
  • Hire, mentor, and grow engineers into strong ICs and future leaders while fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, patient impact, and engineering excellence.


Platform Engineering & Interoperability:

  • Lead development of AI orchestration pipelines, structured reporting tools, clinician-facing dashboards, and supporting APIs, SDKs, and internal tools for rapid prototyping and deployment.
  • Ensure platform readiness across on-prem, hybrid, and cloud-first deployments (AWS, Outposts).
  • Lead integration with EMRs, PACS, LIS/LIMS, and healthcare IT standards (HL7, FHIR).



Required Skills & Qualifications:

Technical Expertise:

  • 8–12 years of software engineering experience (backend/full-stack), including 2–3 years of engineering management in a regulated environment (healthcare, pharma, diagnostics preferred).
  • Hands-on experience in Full Stack or Backend development with technologies such as React, Python, and RESTful APIs, with strong expertise in building cloud-native applications in a containerized environment (Docker, AWS preferred).


Domain Understanding:

  • 4+ years of experience in life sciences, clinical systems, or diagnostics (oncology a strong plus).
  • Exposure to working with RIS, PACS, EMR/EHR, MDT systems.
  • Understanding of healthcare compliance frameworks (HIPAA, ISO, MDR), with bonus experience working on FDA/CE-marked medical software or Software as a Medical Device (SaMD).


Leadership & Communication:

  • Proven ability to lead distributed teams and work in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong decision-making ability balancing clinical needs, technical complexity, and product vision.
