Role Overview

We are looking for a full-time AI/ML Engineer (0–5 years experience) to join our core team. You’ll help design and implement embedding pipelines, vector search, and hybrid scoring using modern cloud technologies like Cloudflare Workers AI, Cloudflare Vectorize, Elasticsearch, and MySQL.

This is an exciting role for someone early in their career who wants to work on real AI/ML systems at scale and grow quickly in a hands-on environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement and optimize embedding generation using Cloudflare Workers AI and other GenAI models.
• Build pipelines to store and query vectors in Cloudflare Vectorize.
• Work with Elasticsearch 8 for hybrid search (vector + keyword + business rules).
• Design matching and scoring logic for candidate ↔ job pipelines and persist results in MySQL.
• Monitor costs and performance; add guardrails for AI usage.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver features on tight timelines.
• Document processes and contribute to scaling our AI/ML infrastructure.

Requirements

• 0–5 years of experience in software development or applied ML/AI.
• Familiarity with at least one programming language: Python or Node.js.
• Knowledge of AI/ML fundamentals (embeddings, vector search, semantic similarity).
• Exposure to GenAI models and API-driven inference (OpenAI, Hugging Face, Cloudflare Workers AI, etc.).
• Understanding of databases (SQL/NoSQL) and REST APIs.
• Strong problem-solving mindset and eagerness to learn new technologies.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Cloudflare Workers, Wrangler CLI, KV, Queues, or D1.
• Hands-on with Elasticsearch/OpenSearch.
• Academic or project work in NLP, information retrieval, or recommender systems.
• Familiarity with DevOps basics (Git, CI/CD, Docker).
