As part of the Minerals Digital 2025 strategy, the Quality Assurance Lead plays a critical role in ensuring the timely and high-quality delivery of digital solutions across products and programs. This role partners closely with digital product owners and cross-functional teams to plan and execute comprehensive testing strategies from initiation through to launch. Reporting to the Head of Process and Quality, the QA Lead fosters a culture of quality, agility, and delivery excellence—without direct people management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
  • Lead QA Strategy: Define and execute quality assurance plans for IoT applications and enterprise systems, aligned with project goals.
  • Drive Automation: Champion automation across functional, integration, performance, and security testing using modern tools and frameworks.
  • Manage Testing Lifecycle: Oversee planning, execution, and reporting of manual and automated tests within Agile environments.
  • Mentor QA Team: Guide and support QA engineers, fostering continuous improvement and ownership.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with Product, Development, DevOps, and Business teams to embed quality throughout the SDLC.
  • Enhance QA Processes: Identify gaps, implement improvements, and adopt new tools to strengthen testing effectiveness and release readiness.

Job Knowledge / Education And Qualifications

  • Extensive QA Experience: 10+ years in Quality Assurance, including 5+ years in the Industrial IoT (IIoT) domain, with a degree in engineering, computer science, IS&T, or equivalent experience.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Postman), scripting languages (Python, JavaScript), SQL, and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
  • IoT & AI Testing Expertise: Deep understanding of IoT protocols, device/cloud integration, edge gateways, sensing systems, and AI pipeline testing including model monitoring and anomaly detection.
  • Leadership & Communication: Proven ability to lead QA teams, drive initiatives, and communicate effectively across cross-functional and matrixed environments.
  • Enterprise-Scale Delivery: Demonstrated success in Agile delivery for enterprise-level software and digital platforms, including end-to-end testing and release readiness.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, or heavy industry is highly advantageous.
