Responsible for concluding direct sales of Alfa Laval products for Business Unit - Circular Separation Technologies within a defined area of responsibility (e.g. geographical, group of customer, industry or product group etc. Working with the support of the line manager or another experienced field salesperson.

Base Location – Baroda/Ahmedabad

Roles and Responsibility

  • Follow established sales processes and guidelines to promote and sell Alfa Laval Capital equipment for business unit circular separation technologies
  • Be active in the market and focus on making visits, meetings and interactions with already existing customers, focusing on customer needs understanding and highlighting the value of our products and services.
  • Analyze and understand market insights and the customers buying behavior and make sales plans according to the business unit strategy and targets.
  • Look for and manage leads from the market and customers and convert them into real business opportunities to ensure the pipeline.
  • Formulate, implement, and update the sales plan for assigned products.
  • Runs the commercial operation by managing the customer grid and proactive planning in our tools. Build and maintain a sufficient network for customers.
  • Develop highly profitable quotes reflecting the customer needs stressing the unique selling points and follow up, and to get a hit-rate.
  • Plan forecast for order receive with order execution team, factory and manage inventory
  • Use the CRM tool and other tools in a consistent and qualitative way, to support the sales process and take decisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering. MBA would be an added advantage.
  • 10+ years of experience in direct sales, industries like general manufacturing, steel, power, chemicals, Industrial wastewater etc.
  • Excellent Presentation and negotiating skills.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving ability.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen.
  • Leadership and management skills
  • Customer-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality customer experience
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing market conditions.
  • Knowledge on Separation technology will be an added advantage.
