Job Description

As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall orderliness of our facility. You will oversee the housekeeping staff, ensuring that all cleaning tasks are performed efficiently, adequately, and in a timely manner. Your management skills will be essential in training and developing your team, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and safety are upheld. This position requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and an ability to work under pressure while maintaining excellent communication and interpersonal skills. As a key player in our team, you will directly impact guest satisfaction and contribute to a positive, welcoming environment.


Responsibilities

  • Supervise and inspect the daily cleaning activities of the housekeeping staff.
  • Ensure all areas are cleaned to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Train new housekeeping staff on cleaning procedures and company policies.
  • Assign duties and responsibilities to housekeeping staff on a daily basis.
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and re-order as necessary.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to housekeeping staff.
  • Address and resolve conflicts or issues within the housekeeping team.
  • Coordinate with maintenance staff for any repairs or additional cleaning needed.
  • Prepare and manage schedules for housekeeping staff, ensuring adequate coverage.
  • Monitor and report on the quality of cleaning and maintenance services provided.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards at all times.
  • Interact with guests to address any housekeeping-related requests or complaints.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education is required for this role.
  • Proven experience in housekeeping supervision or a similar role is preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills are essential.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure high standards of cleanliness.
  • Effective communication skills with both staff and management teams.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
  • Knowledge of safety and sanitary regulations related to housekeeping duties.
