Job Description

The Event Sales Manager plays a crucial role in the success of any event by spearheading the sales strategy, developing new business opportunities, and maintaining relationships with existing clients. The primary focus of this position is to drive revenue growth through the sale of event spaces and services, while also ensuring customer satisfaction from event conception to completion. The Event Sales Manager is responsible for understanding the market trends, conceptualizing alluring sales strategies, and executing them effectively to maximize sales opportunities. By collaborating with marketing, operations, and event planning teams, the Event Sales Manager helps to create unforgettable experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, excellent communication skills, and a passion for creative event solutions.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve company targets.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the events industry.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Coordinate with event planning and operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Analyze current market trends to anticipate clients’ needs and preferences.
  • Prepare and present compelling sales presentations to prospective clients.
  • Negotiate contract terms and pricing to meet both company goals and client requirements.
  • Achieve assigned sales targets and report on sales performance metrics regularly.
  • Participate in industry networking events and forums to promote business offerings.
  • Manage the sales process lifecycle from initial client contact to event execution.
  • Utilize CRM software to track sales activities and maintain accurate client records.
  • Ensure client satisfaction by delivering exemplary customer service and support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in sales, ideally in the events industry.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and objectives.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • High level of organizational skills with attention to detail and multitasking ability.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple client expectations simultaneously.
