Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Engineer with expertise in PySpark and Databricks to join our data engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes to ensure seamless data flow, high performance, and reliability. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, troubleshooting complex issues, and implementing best practices for data quality and performance.

Location: Bangalore/Pune/Mumbai

Mode of Work: Full time

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes using PySpark /Databricks.
• Optimize performance for large datasets through partitioning, indexing, and Spark optimization techniques.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and resolve technical challenges.
• Ensure data quality and integrity through validation, cleansing, and monitoring processes.
• Analyze and optimize existing SQL queries, functions, and stored procedures for better performance.
• Develop and maintain database routines such as procedures, functions, and views.
• Participate in data migration projects and work with technologies such as Delta Lake/Data Warehouses.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve complex data pipeline issues.
  
  
  

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong understanding of distributed data processing platforms (Databricks, BigQuery , etc.).
• Proficiency in Python, PySpark , and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with performance optimization for large datasets.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Fundamental knowledge of cloud services (preferably Azure or GCP).
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills .

• Familiarity with Delta Lake or Data Warehouse technologies.
