Job Description

As a Front Desk Agent, you'll play a pivotal role in enhancing the guest experience by being the first point of contact for guests at our establishment. Your friendly and professional demeanor will be crucial as you manage check-ins and check-outs, provide outstanding customer service, and handle guest inquiries efficiently. You'll be responsible for maintaining accurate records, handling financial transactions, and ensuring a welcoming environment at the front desk. Your ability to multitask and communicate effectively will ensure that guests' needs are met and expectations are exceeded, leading to memorable stays and positive reviews.


Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and provide a friendly and efficient check-in experience.
  • Manage reservations, cancellations, and modifications with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and direct them to appropriate departments or personnel.
  • Provide information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions.
  • Resolve guest complaints and issues, ensuring prompt resolution and satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records of guest transactions and registration information.
  • Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions securely and accurately.
  • Ensure the lobby and front desk area are clean and organized at all times.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure timely room preparation for new arrivals.
  • Assist with luggage and provide other porter services as needed.
  • Ensure all check-out procedures are communicated and followed accurately.
  • Stay informed about hotel policies, services offered, and emergency contact numbers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required to apply.
  • Previous experience in hospitality or customer service is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
  • Proficiency in using reservation systems and computer software is preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and handle stressful situations with professionalism.
  • Must be available to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple guest requests effectively.
