Estimator - Interior Fit-Out (225-726)

The role of an Estimator in the Interior Fit-Out industry is crucial in ensuring that projects are delivered within budget. The Estimator will play a key role in the pre-construction phase by preparing detailed cost estimates and analysis, helping to establish budgets on a variety of interior fit-out projects, ranging from commercial spaces to luxury residential interiors. A successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to understand architectural and engineering drawings. Responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive cost estimates and budgets for interior fit-out projects.
• Analyze architectural drawings and specifications to determine necessary resources.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to procure materials cost-effectively.
• Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare a bill of quantities for project materials.
• Review and assess tender documents to prepare accurate costings.
• Collaborate with project managers to align on project scope and limitations.
• Identify and evaluate potential project risks and provide solutions for mitigation.
• Support in the preparation of proposals, ensuring competitive and realistic pricing.
• Monitor and adjust project budgets based on project changes and updates.
• Participate in meetings with clients to discuss project timelines and cost expectations.
• Keep abreast of market trends to maintain competitive and realistic costing strategies.
• Prepare detailed feasibility studies to support project decision-making processes.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in interior fit-out estimating.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Strong proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings effectively.
• Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication skills to liaise with clients and project stakeholders.
• Knowledge of building codes and industry regulations relevant to interior fit-out.
