Job Description

As a skilled Construction Manager specializing in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP), you hold a pivotal role in the successful completion of construction projects. Your expertise will ensure that building systems are designed and executed efficiently, meeting all standards of functionality, safety, and sustainability. This role involves managing a team of professionals and working collaboratively with architects, contractors, and stakeholders to see that the MEP aspects of construction projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will leverage your technical knowledge and leadership skills to overcome challenges and positively contribute to every phase of a project.


Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing aspects of a project.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on all project sites.
  • Review and approve MEP designs and shop drawings for accuracy and feasibility.
  • Manage project resources including personnel, materials, and equipment for efficiency.
  • Work closely with architects and engineers to address design and budget challenges.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and provide feedback for construction improvements.
  • Lead and participate in project meetings with clients and construction teams.
  • Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise between contractors and subcontractors.
  • Assess and mitigate project risks to avoid delays and additional costs.
  • Ensure quality control measures are in place and adhered to throughout the project.
  • Prepare and submit reports on project progress to stakeholders and management.
  • Utilize project management tools to track and manage tasks and deliverables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing MEP projects in construction.
  • Proficient understanding of MEP systems and their role within construction projects.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing large teams and subcontractors.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client and team interactions.
  • Experience with project management software and construction-related tools.
  • Thorough understanding of industry regulations and compliance requirements.
