Job Description

A Counter Sales Executive plays a crucial role in the retail and wholesale environment, functioning as the first point of contact for customers. They manage the sales counter, handle sales transactions, and maintain a strong customer service presence. The ideal candidate for this position is outgoing with excellent communication skills and has a passion for delivering outstanding customer service. As a Counter Sales Executive, you will engage with customers to understand their needs, recommend products, and ensure a smooth purchasing process, whilst aiming to maximize sales and profitability. Your role will also involve maintaining product displays and managing inventory. This position requires the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, showcasing an engaging and positive attitude towards customers for an outstanding shopping experience.


Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly upon arrival and assist them throughout their shopping experience.
  • Effectively process sales transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
  • Assess customer needs and provide expert advice and product recommendations.
  • Maintain a neat and organized sales counter and retail space at all times.
  • Manage and replenish inventory to ensure product availability for customers.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints promptly.
  • Keep up-to-date with product knowledge and promotions to enhance customer interaction.
  • Assist in setting up promotional displays and ensure they are adequately stocked.
  • Document sales by creating or updating customer profile records regularly.
  • Collaborate with team members to boost sales and achieve store targets.
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions following appropriate procedures and policies.
  • Follow all store policies and operational procedures to enhance customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education qualification is required.
  • Previous experience in a retail or sales role is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.
  • Proficiency in using the Point of Sale (POS) systems is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are necessary.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
