Job Description

The Onsite Infrastructure Support Resource plays a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing an organization's IT infrastructure. This position is responsible for ensuring that all hardware and software components function smoothly, allowing business operations to proceed without interruption. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, coupled with excellent problem-solving and customer service skills. They will be tasked with providing immediate support for issues and undertaking regular maintenance to prevent future problems. This role demands both independent work to address issues directly and collaborative engagement with other IT professionals to optimize and innovate the current infrastructures. The position requires someone who can be proactive in identifying and implementing solutions that enhance the performance of IT systems onsite.


Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level support and troubleshooting for hardware and software issues onsite.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and network devices onsite.
  • Monitor infrastructure services to ensure high availability and performance levels.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors for hardware and software issue resolution.
  • Document and manage support tickets to track problems and resolutions efficiently.
  • Assist in the deployment of software updates and security patches to systems.
  • Perform regular maintenance tasks such as system backups and data recovery checks.
  • Collaborate with IT team for the planning and implementation of infrastructure projects.
  • Implement policies and procedures for security and data recovery operations onsite.
  • Provide guidance and support to end-users to enhance their IT competence.
  • Participate in the evaluation and recommendation of new IT technologies and solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with company IT policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT support and infrastructure roles.
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, server management, and IT security principles.
  • Proficient in diagnosing hardware and software issues on various platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Proactive problem solver with a strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
