The HMIS (Health Management Information Systems) Project Head is a pivotal role within our organization, ensuring the effective implementation and management of health information systems. This role is crucial for maintaining and improving the quality of health services through streamlined processes and advanced technology. The HMIS Project Head will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and evolution of information systems designed to support healthcare facilities and institutions. This includes coordinating project activities, managing teams, and liaising between developers, healthcare professionals, and stakeholders to ensure all objectives are achieved. Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of the HMIS strategy in alignment with organizational goals.
• Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to identify system needs and improve service delivery.
• Oversee the customization and configuration of HMIS software to meet specific requirements.
• Ensure data integrity and security within all implemented health management information systems.
• Conduct regular project reviews and report on project status, progress, and roadblocks.
• Facilitate training sessions for end users to enhance system usage and efficiency.
• Coordinate with technical teams to resolve system issues and perform regular maintenance.
• Develop and maintain documentation for system processes, changes, and compliance requirements.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather feedback and drive continuous improvements in HMIS.
• Monitor and evaluate the impact of HMIS on health service delivery and patient outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare regulations and information security standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in project management within the healthcare sector.
• Strong understanding of health management information systems and healthcare processes.
• Excellent leadership skills with a proven track record of managing large projects.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
• Experience in data management, analytics, and system integration within healthcare settings.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex technical issues.
• Knowledge of relevant healthcare regulations, data privacy, and security standards.
• Project management certification (PMP or PRINCE2) is highly desirable.
