Job Description

The Field Service Engineer II is a critical role for applicants who are eager to apply their technical skills in real-world settings, providing high-level support and maintenance services to clients. As a Field Service Engineer II, you will work on complex systems, perform diagnostics, and ensure installations and repair tasks meet both the technical specifications and customer requirements. Primarily working off-site, you will be a key point of contact for escalating technical issues, delivering efficient solutions, and maintaining positive customer relationships through exceptional service. This position generally requires a deep understanding of the company’s products and services, advanced troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently while managing time efficiently.


Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues on-site, ensuring timely solutions.
  • Install and configure equipment based on customer specifications and requirements.
  • Provide high-level technical support and assistance to clients during emergency situations.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to improve product functionality and service quality.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and audits to ensure equipment longevity and reliability.
  • Document service reports, capturing pertinent details and resolutions for future reference.
  • Train customers and clients on equipment use and basic troubleshooting techniques.
  • Maintain and manage tools and inventory required for service tasks effectively.
  • Travel to various locations to perform service tasks as required by job assignments.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and compliance standards during service operations.
  • Update management regularly on service work, potential issues, and solution outcomes.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement within the service department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a field service role is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose technical issues.
  • Excellent communication skills for effectively liaising with clients and team members.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to travel frequently and work flexible hours as needed.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools and basic understanding of IT systems.
