Job Description

A Supply Chain Operations Associate plays a critical role in ensuring that a company’s flow of goods from suppliers to customers operates efficiently and smoothly. This position involves coordinating and overseeing various logistical functions with an aim to streamline processes, improve accuracy, and enhance productivity. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. The role typically requires analyzing supply chain data and performance to identify areas for improvement, managing vendor relationships, and supporting the optimization of supply chain processes. This individual must be comfortable working with different stakeholders across the organization to ensure that supplies are delivered in a timely manner and that inventory levels are maintained appropriately.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily supply chain operations to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
  • Analyze and track key supply chain metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating terms and resolving issues as needed.
  • Facilitate communication among departments to eliminate bottlenecks and enhance efficiency.
  • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with procurement teams to ensure adequate stock.
  • Prepare reports on logistics performance and communicate findings to management.
  • Support the implementation of supply chain strategies to optimize procedures and reduce costs.
  • Utilize supply chain management software to track shipments and logistics activities.
  • Participate in the development and execution of new supply chain projects and initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for logistics operations.
  • Assist in the evaluation of vendor performance and support vendor management activities.
  • Provide logistical support to other departments to streamline the movement of goods and services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or related roles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to optimize supply chain performance.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and other related IT tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for coordinating logistics tasks.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
