Job Description

A Store In-charge is a pivotal role that requires a dynamic and organized individual capable of overseeing the store's daily operations. This professional plays a critical role in managing inventory, handling customer inquiries, and ensuring that the store meets its financial objectives. The Store In-charge is responsible for maintaining a great shopping experience for customers, which involves keeping the store well-presented, managing staff schedules, and implementing effective marketing strategies. A proactive approach, excellent leadership skills, and an ability to work under pressure are essential for this position. The role requires collaboration with other departments to ensure that products are delivered on time, stocked adequately, and that promotions and discounts are executed efficiently.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations in the store to ensure efficient functioning.
  • Manage and coordinate staff schedules and ensure optimal staffing levels.
  • Monitor inventory levels and order new products when necessary to prevent shortages.
  • Implement security measures to prevent theft and implement loss prevention strategies.
  • Ensure the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing for customers.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally and efficiently.
  • Train, supervise, and evaluate store staff to ensure they meet company standards.
  • Prepare weekly or monthly reports on sales, operating efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate promotional activities and marketing strategies to increase foot traffic and sales.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards within the store.
  • Maintain an effective communication channel with suppliers for orders and negotiations.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends and make improvements to boost sales.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in retail management or similar managerial role in a store environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and develop store staff.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to manage store operations efficiently.
  • Good understanding of retail management best practices and sales principles.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills to address store issues promptly.
  • Proficient computer skills, particularly in inventory management and point of sale software.
