The Senior Structural Engineer plays a critical role in designing, analyzing, and overseeing the construction of structures. Tasked with ensuring that structures are safe, legally compliant, and meet project specifications, you will apply advanced engineering principles, leading projects from conception through completion. With your expertise, you'll manage complex structural projects, consult on challenging engineering problems, and provide mentorship to junior engineers. Your role requires a deep understanding of structural analysis software, materials science, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally. Responsibilities

• Develop and review structural design plans ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and project managers on design feasibility and objectives.
• Lead structural assessments and provide recommendations for repairs and upgrades.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor construction progress and adherence to design specifications.
• Utilize advanced structural analysis software to simulate and test structural integrity.
• Prepare detailed reports and documentation for engineering projects and presentations.
• Provide mentorship and training to junior engineers and supporting engineering staff.
• Conduct assessments of potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Assist in bid preparation and review submissions for structural projects.
• Review and approve material specifications ensuring conformance with project requirements.
• Participate in client meetings to discuss project objectives and deliverables.
• Oversee the resolution of design and construction issues in the field.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure required in applicable region of practice.
• Minimum of eight years of experience in structural engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software applications such as STAAD.Pro or SAP2000.
• Strong understanding of materials science and engineering principles in structural design.
• Excellent project management skills with a proven ability to lead teams effectively.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration and client interaction.
• Experience with large scale industrial and commercial building projects is advantageous.
