Job Description

The Inventory Management Coordinator plays a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing the inventory operations of the organization. This position is responsible for ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, as well as maintaining a precise and updated inventory system. The coordinator will collaborate closely with various departments to ensure alignment with company goals and industry best practices. This role requires an individual with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. The Inventory Management Coordinator must cultivate effective relationships both internally and externally to ensure smooth operations and support the company's supply chain demands.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily inventory operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness at all times.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels by executing regular audits and cycle counts.
  • Collaborate with purchasing and sales departments to forecast inventory demands.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in inventory records promptly and effectively.
  • Develop and implement inventory management procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Train and manage warehouse staff on inventory control systems and best practices.
  • Coordinate the logistics of inbound and outbound inventory shipments in a timely manner.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, problems, and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare detailed reports on inventory status, discrepancies, and other key metrics.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and legal regulations regarding inventory.
  • Assist in the development of budgeting and forecasting processes for inventory control.
  • Ensure that safety standards are met within the warehouse and inventory management processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in inventory management or a related role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required for this position.
  • Proficient in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment effectively.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and legal regulations in inventory management.
  • Capability to lift and move inventory items as needed during operations.
