Job Description

The Housekeeping Supervisor plays a pivotal role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and service within the establishment. This position involves supervisory duties over housekeeping staff, ensuring that guest rooms, public areas, and other designated areas are impeccably clean and well-maintained. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to train and motivate a diverse team. As Housekeeping Supervisor, you will be entrusted with inventory management, scheduling, and quality control to ensure that the environment is both welcoming and hygienic for all guests and staff. Your contribution is vital in enhancing the customer experience and upholding the reputation of the establishment.


Responsibilities

  • Monitor and supervise the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping department.
  • Assign daily cleaning tasks and responsibilities to the housekeeping staff.
  • Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas for cleanliness and standards.
  • Train and onboard new housekeeping staff, ensuring company standards are understood.
  • Manage and maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Coordinate with the front desk to prioritize room cleaning based on guest arrivals and departures.
  • Review and respond to guest complaints or concerns regarding cleaning and service.
  • Ensure all safety and sanitation protocols are strictly followed by the housekeeping team.
  • Develop and implement cleaning schedules to ensure timely and efficient service.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to housekeeping staff.
  • Prepare and submit reports on performance, inventory, and maintenance issues.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to promptly address and resolve operational issues.

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or similar role in hospitality.
  • Strong organizational and team management skills for overseeing housekeeping activities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality control abilities.
  • Exceptional communication skills for effective team and guest interactions.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Keen understanding of sanitation and safety guidelines in a hospitality environment.
  • Knowledge of housekeeping budgeting and inventory management practices.
