Job Description

As a Guest Service Associate in the Food & Beverage department, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. Your attention to detail, friendly demeanor, and commitment to service excellence will ensure that each guest feels valued and appreciated. The position requires you to coordinate closely with the kitchen and service teams, ensuring smooth operations and prompt service delivery. You'll be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment in the dining area. This dynamic role offers the opportunity to engage with a diverse range of guests and contribute significantly to their overall satisfaction.


Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome guests promptly upon their arrival at the dining area.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them effectively to the kitchen staff.
  • Deliver food and beverages to guests in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Assist guests with menu recommendations and provide detailed information about menu items.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area throughout service periods.
  • Handle guest complaints and concerns with a positive attitude and escalate when necessary.
  • Manage table settings, ensuring all dining areas are appropriately set before service.
  • Process guest payments efficiently and accurately, ensuring proper tallying of checks.
  • Stock service areas with supplies such as coffee, food, tableware, and linens.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to improve service skills and knowledge.
  • Actively promote a positive and collaborative team environment among colleagues.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a guest service role within the food and beverage sector.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Basic math skills for processing payments and handling financial transactions.
  • Professional appearance and attitude, aligning with company standards.
  • Physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts.
