CCTV Camera Technician (225-808)

A CCTV Camera Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems used for surveillance and security purposes. This role requires a keen understanding of network configurations, camera functionality, and security system design. CCTV Camera Technicians work both independently and as part of a team to ensure that all cameras function properly and provide the necessary coverage for security purposes. This role involves troubleshooting technical issues and may require night or weekend work to accommodate client schedules. Responsibilities

• Install and configure CCTV systems to meet client security needs.
• Conduct regular maintenance checks on CCTV equipment and related hardware.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and rectify issues with surveillance cameras and systems.
• Ensure all CCTV installations conform to industry standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with clients to understand specific surveillance requirements and security goals.
• Document installation and maintenance processes for future reference and audits.
• Train clients on the usage and management of newly installed CCTV systems.
• Upgrade existing CCTV systems and recommend enhancements to improve coverage.
• Use diagnostic tools and software to ensure system integrity and performance.
• Respond promptly to service requests and provide technical support on-site.
• Ensure proper cabling and wiring is in place for all surveillance equipment.
• Maintain an up-to-date inventory of tools, parts, and equipment needed for installations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a CCTV Camera Technician or similar role in security surveillance.
• Strong understanding of camera components, networking, and security systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals effectively.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
• Physical ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required for jobsite access.
