Job Description

An Accounts Payable Executive plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth financial operations of a company. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent organizational skills to manage and process all aspects of the accounts payable functions. The Accounts Payable Executive is responsible for handling supplier invoices, verifying transactions, processing payments in a timely manner, and maintaining accurate financial records. The role offers the opportunity to work closely with a dynamic finance team to support the company’s overall financial health. This position requires excellent communication skills to interact with vendors and internal departments. Familiarity with accounting software and the ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment is essential for success in this role.


Responsibilities

  • Receive and verify invoices and requisitions for goods and services.
  • Process invoices for payments accurately and on time to avoid late fees.
  • Reconcile monthly statements and related transactions with suppliers.
  • Prepare and distribute payment advice and reports to relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain historical records by keeping and filing documents systematically.
  • Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date and reconciled regularly.
  • Address vendor inquiries regarding accounts, payments, or overdue notices.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to improve accounts payable processes.
  • Review and suggest enhancements to current accounts payable systems.
  • Assist in month-end closing, ensuring completeness of payable accounts.
  • Support audits by providing information and documentation as requested.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors and cross-departmental teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in an accounts payable role is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills for invoice processing tasks.
  • Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication skills for vendor and internal communication.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently under strict deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and precision in daily accounts reconciliation tasks.
