Job Description

A Production Coordinator plays a vital role in the day-to-day management of television, film, or commercial production projects. This position demands exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. The Production Coordinator serves as the key liaison among various departments, ensuring that production processes run smoothly and efficiently. They are responsible for managing schedules, coordinating logistics, handling paperwork, and communicating effectively between crew members. With their expertise, Production Coordinators help maintain a productive workflow, making sure that any potential disruptions or challenges are promptly addressed. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily operations and activities to ensure smooth production workflows.
  • Develop and manage production schedules in alignment with project timelines.
  • Communicate effectively with crew members to relay important production information.
  • Organize transportation and accommodation logistics for cast and crew.
  • Assist with the preparation and distribution of daily call sheets for the crew.
  • Handle production paperwork, including contracts, releases, and purchase orders.
  • Manage the distribution and collection of production equipment and supplies.
  • Work with the post-production team to coordinate editing and distribution tasks.
  • Ensure adherence to project budgets and assist with financial tracking activities.
  • Serve as a contact point for troubleshooting and resolving production issues.
  • Maintain documentation and records related to production activities and expenditures.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers for production-related services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Film, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in production coordination or management.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in production software and tools, such as Movie Magic Scheduling.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines reliably.
  • Familiarity with budgeting and financial tracking for production activities.
