Job Description

The IT Project Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the successful planning, execution, and oversight of technology projects within an organization. Responsible for the management and delivery of various IT projects, the coordinator works by facilitating communication between stakeholders, managing resources, and ensuring that project milestones are met on schedule and within budget. The position demands an excellent skill set in multitasking, time management, and communication. The IT Project Coordinator often serves as the go-to person for the project's logistics and coordination, integrating efforts across different teams and departments to ensure alignment with overall business objectives. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work under pressure, as project demands can often change rapidly.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Develop comprehensive project schedules and work plans to ensure timely project completion.
  • Facilitate communication among project team members to maintain transparency and prompt issue resolution.
  • Monitor project progress and prepare regular status reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate project resources across departments and adjust plans as necessary to meet objectives.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports, and meeting minutes.
  • Identify potential risks in projects and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively.
  • Organize project meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, and minute taking.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Engage with clients to maintain strong relationships and understand project requirements.
  • Support the Project Manager in ensuring adherence to quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in project coordination with a focus on technology projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong organizational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management software tools, approaches, and techniques.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of various project management methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to conflict resolution.
