Job Description

The role of a Housekeeping Supervisor is both dynamic and crucial, as it ensures the cleanliness and overall ambience of hospitality facilities like hotels, resorts, and other lodging establishments. Responsibilities

  • Supervise and direct the daily activities of the housekeeping staff efficiently.

  • Train and orient new employees on cleaning techniques and company policies.
  • Coordinate with hotel management to address and resolve customer complaints promptly.
  • Inventory and order cleaning supplies to maintain adequate stock levels.
  • Develop and implement efficient cleaning schedules that maximize productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and sanitary regulations set by health authorities.
  • Address guests' special requests or issues to ensure a satisfactory experience.
  • Monitor staff performance and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
  • Update maintenance logs about equipment repair or replacement needs.
  • Prepare and submit reports to management regarding housekeeping activities.
  • Liaise with other department heads to ensure seamless operational coordination.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent; a degree in hospitality is advantageous.
  • Proven experience in housekeeping roles, preferably in a supervisory capacity.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills are essential for success.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively manage and train the staff team.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays if needed.
  • Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and health standards compliance regulations.
  • Detail-oriented with the capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
