Job Description

An Analyst in Operations Risk & Compliance plays a crucial role in ensuring that a company's operations adhere to regulatory standards and that risks are effectively managed. This position entails analyzing operational processes, identifying potential risks, and ensuring compliance with industry laws and regulations. The analyst provides insights and recommendations to mitigate risks and enhance operational efficiency. They collaborate with various departments to monitor compliance programs, conduct audits, and prepare detailed reports. This role is critical for maintaining the integrity and reputation of the organization by preventing financial losses and ensuring that the company operates within the legal framework. Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential operational risks within the organization.
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies and compliance programs to mitigate identified risks.
  • Monitor legislative changes to ensure the company remains compliant with new regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance processes and effectively manage compliance-related projects.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management on risk assessment findings and compliance status.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure all departments are adhering to established risk management protocols.
  • Maintain a robust documentation process of all compliance activities and risk assessments for future reference.
  • Provide training and awareness programs to staff on risk management and compliance procedures.
  • Investigate compliance issues and concerns promptly, providing solutions and ensuring resolution.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of policies and procedures that enforce compliance standards.
  • Analyze data related to incidents, trends, and patterns to support risk minimization initiatives.
  • Support the organization in achieving strategic goals by aligning risk management practices with business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience in risk management, compliance, or a related operational analytical role.
  • Strong understanding of industry regulations and compliance standards applicable to the organization.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex problems.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on detail and clarity.
  • Proficient in using data analysis and risk management software and tools.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across various departments within the organization.
