Job Description

As a CCTV Technician, you will play a crucial role in enhancing security measures for our clients by installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems. Your expertise will ensure that surveillance systems are functioning effectively to protect properties from potential threats. You will work in various environments, including commercial, residential, and industrial settings, and provide technical support for both analog and digital CCTV systems. A successful CCTV Technician combines technical skills with a customer-centered approach, ensuring that clients are satisfied with the installation and functionality of their surveillance systems. The role demands a high level of attention to detail and adherence to quality and safety standards.


Responsibilities

  • Install CCTV cameras and security systems in various commercial and residential locations.
  • Perform regular and preventive maintenance checks on installed CCTV systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to CCTV hardware and software.
  • Test and ensure the functionality and performance of CCTV systems post-installation.
  • Train clients on operating CCTV systems and understanding its features and functionalities.
  • Configure and integrate CCTV systems with network settings and internet protocols.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed service records and installation documentation.
  • Provide expert technical support and customer service to resolve any client queries.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to design efficient and scalable CCTV layouts.
  • Adhere to all safety standards and guidelines during installation activities.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in CCTV technology and practices.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to procure necessary equipment and parts.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a CCTV technician or a similar role is required.
  • Strong understanding of CCTV systems, both analog and digital, is essential.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple installation projects effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose and address technical issues promptly.
  • Proficient in using tools and equipment for CCTV installation and maintenance.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
  • Valid driver's license is necessary for traveling between installation sites.
