The team acts as an internal consulting arm for American Express serving CEO, Executive Committee, Board, President of the BUs , CXO Leadership and the EC Working Group Depending on project needs, as a member of our team, you have to engage in Decision Sciences work involving development and validation of predictive models or Strategic Business and Analytical Solutions related work such as developing, reviewing, or executing business strategies and analytical solutions to drive profitable decisions in areas such as marketing, risk, and credit. How will you make an impact in this role?
Analyze large amounts of data (both internal and external) to derive strategic insights to focus on mid to long term future of AXP
Leverage the power of closed loop through Amex network to make decisions more intelligent and relevant
Independent working with partners/customers to deliver on custom value analytics & actionable insights
Utilize broad set of analytical tools/techniques for data mining, data cleansing, data extraction, analysis & transformation, data interpretation & insights, turn-key bundled analytic & reporting solutions.
Experience consulting with business owners and recommending appropriate solutions based on clear understanding of business needs
Work on various inhouse reporting tools to pull standard & custom reports
Identify and recommend process improvements based on results of analytics work
Enhancing the data analytical and capabilities infrastructure
Establishing a strong network across Amex so as to enable problem-solving and understanding models and capabilities existing within Amex
Ideating and brainstorming new concepts in advanced analytics leveraging knowledge in statistics, machine learning and data science
Qualifications:
Post Graduate degree (MBA/MS/M.Tech or similar) in subjects like Marketing, Business, Analytics or Engineering from a reputed institute (IIM/ISB) with minimum experience of 3 years having consulting/data analytics experience or working in a corporate strategy role
Technical Requirement
Good Programming skills
Knowledge of SAS, Java, Hive, Pig, Python, SQL is a plus
Knowledge of MS Office – PowerPoint, Excel
