Senior Manager – This role will manage internal teams, stakeholders and clients, in the view of ensuring the UKI TARAS (Tax Accounting Risk and Advisory Services) deliverable are delivered on time and to a high standard of quality

The opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Manager for our UKI Core Tax GCR (Global Compliance and Reporting) team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in tax compliance and reporting, with a strong understanding of UK tax regulations and practices. This role will involve managing a team, overseeing client engagements, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality tax services.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the UKI Core Tax GCR team - TARAS, providing guidance and support to team members.
• Oversee the TARAS deliverables i.e. preparation and review of tax accounting disclosures for clients.
• Ensure compliance with UK tax laws and regulations, staying updated on changes and developments.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing strategic tax advice and solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated tax services.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within TARAS function.
• Mentor and train junior staff, fostering their professional development.
• Participate in business development activities, including proposals and presentations to potential clients.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Masters degree or professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CTA) is preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in tax compliance and reporting, preferably within a professional services environment.
• Strong knowledge of UK tax legislation and compliance requirements.
• Proven experience in managing teams and client relationships.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
  
  

Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office SuiteIdeally, you’ll also have

• Awareness of other taxes in the UK
• Ability to read, interpret and apply the tax legislation
