Job Description

The Staff Nurse plays a crucial role in delivering nursing care to patients and supporting their health journey in various clinical settings. They are responsible for assessing patient needs, developing and implementing nursing care plans, and maintaining medical records. The duty of a Staff Nurse is dynamic, requiring them to adapt to different situations and collaborate closely with healthcare teams. Responsibilities

  • Assess patient health problems and needs to develop care plans effectively.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments, and observe patients for reactions.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as necessary to care team members.
  • Collaborate with medical practitioners to coordinate patient care and optimize outcomes.
  • Educate patients and their families on health management and disease prevention practices.
  • Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients facing medical procedures.
  • Maintain patient paperwork and ensure accurate documentation of nursing care.
  • Ensure up-to-date knowledge of healthcare regulations and best practices for patient safety.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive healthcare service delivery.
  • Evaluate and adjust nursing care plans based on patient response and medical recommendations.
  • Supervise and mentor junior nursing staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
  • Participate in continuous professional development to stay current with nursing practices.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice is mandatory.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent qualification from an accredited program.
  • Minimum of two years clinical experience within a healthcare facility or hospital environment.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a high-pressure setting.
  • Adaptability and problem-solving skills to manage dynamic healthcare situations.
  • Commitment to patient care and professional practice standards for quality service provision.
