Job Description

As a Production Manager, you will lead and oversee the manufacturing process to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety in our production facility. Your role will involve coordinating and organizing all production activities, while continuously improving processes to achieve optimal outputs. You will be responsible for managing resources, including machinery, materials, and personnel, to meet production targets and customer expectations. Your expertise will be crucial in driving innovation, optimizing production lines, and implementing strategic plans to reduce costs and waste. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage daily production operations to ensure timely output.
  • Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer order demands.
  • Analyze production processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the production environment.
  • Monitor productivity and efficiency metrics to enhance production output.
  • Collaborate with the quality assurance team to maintain product standards.
  • Lead and mentor a team of production staff to achieve performance goals.
  • Manage inventory levels to support production requirements and minimize waste.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repair of production equipment for optimal operation.
  • Prepare regular production reports and present findings to upper management.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives to reduce production expenses without compromising quality.
  • Stay informed about new production methodologies and technological advancements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a production management role within a manufacturing sector.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with different departments and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of production management software and Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement strategies.
  • Capability to troubleshoot issues promptly and develop effective solutions.
