Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Compressor Aerodynamics Engineer to join our Gas Turbine Research and Development team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, analyzing, and improving compressor aerodynamics for high-performance gas turbines. Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize compressor components to enhance aerodynamic performance in gas turbines.
  • Conduct computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations to assess and improve component designs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate aerodynamic designs with mechanical and thermal systems.
  • Develop and validate models to predict aerodynamic performance and behavior within compressor stages.
  • Analyze test data and provide recommendations for design modifications and performance enhancements.
  • Contribute to the development of new methodologies for aerodynamic analysis and testing.
  • Prepare technical reports and documentation to summarize findings and project outcomes.
  • Present research and development progress to stakeholders and at technical conferences.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in compressor technology and industry trends.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards throughout all project phases.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers in their professional development and technical growth.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of experimental test programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience in compressor aerodynamics, preferably within the gas turbine sector.
  • Strong proficiency in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and aerodynamic analysis tools.
  • Solid understanding of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and heat transfer principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly.
  • Experience with design and simulation software such as ANSYS, CFX, or equivalent tools.
