Responsibilities

• Develop detailed design drawings and specifications using AutoCAD software.
• Modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or reduce production issues.
• Work collaboratively with engineers and architects to develop cohesive design plans.
• Ensure compliance with applicable industry and safety standards in all drawings.
• Review rough sketches, specifications, and other data to develop detailed drawings.
• Prepare and update technical comparison tables for project specifications.
• Manage and maintain the drafting data and design documentation accurately.
• Consult with coworkers to resolve design issues and ensure precise drawings.
• Create and assist in the development of protypes and mock-ups as needed.
• Communicate with fabrication personnel for input on manufacturability of designs.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new CAD software upgrades and features.
• Conduct field surveys and document site conditions as required by projects.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an AutoCAD Draftsman or similar role in technical drawing.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD software and other relevant graphic design programs.
• Strong knowledge of design practices, standards, and construction methods.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision and care.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Associate degree or certification in drafting, engineering, or a related field preferred.
